Over 130 leaders in the fields of computer and internet technology, telecommunications and marine sciences gathered at the Fairmont Hotel in Seattle for the Second FiRe Global: West Coast, a conference produced by Strategic News Services (SNS) and designed to reach across disciplines to encourage technology based solutions to a range of economic and social issues.
SNS founder Mark Anderson, a highly respected prognosticator and opinion leader in the in computer technology industries, was the chairman of the one day event and the keynote speaker. Panel discussions and presentations ran the gamut from broadband implementation, to advances in computing hardware, to global warming, to the relative merits of cloud computing and net neutrality, to health care solutions implementation, to international economic trends, to the health of Minke whale populations.
